New Discoveries

I have been slacking, despite having hours upon hours of free time while I work all night. Ugh. I only have two more "nights" left and then I am leaving the vampire lifestyle behind.

Most recently I have acquired a digital camera, courtesy of The Raven and a drunk girl who lost it months ago. That means this blog will, hopefully, take off and so will etsy. Time is too limited.

I have been focusing my knitoral efforts in the most practical way possible (at least in my mind.) So I am working on the finishing touches of a bikini, summer is coming! And I have just begun a cute little cardigan. In light of spring, I have found myself incredibly inspired to create my own new wardrobe. However, switching from hats to clothes is not an easy transition. I needed some guidance. I found it in various places. I would like to share these (new to me) discoveries.

There is a really neat website called Ravelry that features thousands of free, member-submitted patterns. Check it out, and sign up! http://www.ravelry.com/

Of course I was led to this after I began working on a pattern I found on http://www.knitty.com/ that was submitted by the ever-talented Gudrun Johnston. I found her blog quite inspiring. http://shetlandtrader.blogspot.com/

This lady also has some pretty awesome stuff going on, some free patterns and some for sale. http://www.stefaniejapel.com/index.html

So this being said, I hope to start taking things a bit more seriously in the upcoming weeks. Expansion, expansion, expansion!
